Kitchen is now mostly finished. The quartz counter is gonna cost some serious coin, so we're delaying the inevitable by using a temporary counter-top for the peninsula. I've got to cut the cook-top hole and mount the counter to the cabinets, hook up the gas and get some electricity to it and we'll be good to cook indoors again for the first time in almost a year! The hood is installed, but it needs power along with 220 to the oven and installing the microwave outlet.. Garbage disposal/sink/faucet are all done, so that side of the kitchen is up and running.
Guest bath still needs some paint, then sink faucet installed, toilet, and shower head.
On the outside, the front needs siding, some stairs, and a front door would be really wonderful. I'm sure the neighbors are tired of looking at the paper covering the front wall.
Yeah. I've still got my work cut out for me. And it's stupid hot to be working outside....
Late night and early morning working on a new deployment for work... ugh. Shit's broken and I'm trying to fix it.... My OCD is on high alert!
But other than that, I had some time to get the gas line installed on the stove. WE HAVE FIRE!
Like the good kind. This weekend I'll hook up the breaker to the oven and WE'LL HAVE PIZZA!
I can't wait.
Bedroom door hung, today I'm working on the guest bathroom, getting the faucet/shower head/diverter installed. Then we've got a couple small walls to paint, a toilet to install and we'll be up and running.
If a $4 pizza was that good, I can only imagine what that first poop is going to be like. I'm sure I'll keep everyone posted.
It's always something, and that something is usually stupid.
If I get some time today, I'm running to home depot for valves and escutcheons for the sink and toilet to install. I'd also like to get the base molding in behind the toilet first.... just cuz that'd be easier...
Now stupid me bought the wrong size...
Fuck this whole remodel shit. I'm Just gonna burn the house to the ground and live in the back yard.
